JOB SUMMARY

Performs a wide variety of tasks related to service and management of biomedical instrumentation including electrical, electronic and mechanical medical devices. Such tasks include repairs, preventive maintenance and documentation of activities.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

1. AA Degree in Electronics Technology

2. Two years related Biomedical work experience, which includes troubleshooting to the component level of biomedical instrumentation

3. Operating knowledge in computer software such as Windows.

4. Excellent communication skills and guest relations

 JOB DUTIES

 1. Demonstrates the Resilience Healthcare Customer Service Values, which are key in providing quality service to patients and customers. 

2. Performs corrective maintenance on all types of medical equipment. Responsible for assigned equipment repairs using appropriate resources efficiently and effectively.

3. Documents all activities. Provides accurate and concise information in a timely manner. 

4. Performs special assignments as assigned. Uses appropriate resources efficiently and effectively.

5. Conducts new equipment inventory procedures. Ensures that the necessary documentation exists which includes service manuals and associated PM procedures. Assists in the development of test procedures for quality assurance program related to preventive maintenance.

6. Responsible for ordering supplies needed to complete assigned tasks, verifies that the items are not already available in stock, and obtains approval for purchases from the Market Manager of Biomedical Engineer.

7. Maintains knowledge of regulatory issues such as electrical codes, NFPA, JCAHO, and hospital specific standards.
